Ergonomic Automation Inc is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Jim Hopper P.Eng to the position of Engineering Manager, Special Projects.

Jim holds a degree in chemical engineering as well as a diploma in mechanical engineering and has 25 years of broad industrial experience primarily in Automotive tier 1 technical operations.

Jim specializes in PHSR and safety related issues such as training and JHSC documentation reviews. With over 700 PHSR reports completed he is able to analyze the requirement and present the most reasonable interpretation of the various codes and apply the law in a balanced report.

Howard Currier (Director Finance) “we recognize that one of the key strategies to our success is being able to support our customers entire workplace safety program. We have seen incidence of needless expense being driven by JHSC reports which, while well intentioned are not required by the actual legislation. Jim’s expertise in this area will help industry to focus their financial and technical resources on where the real hazards to workers exist. From the outset it has always been about people, our shaking hands logo is meant to visualize people and technology working together and that’s the environment where you have the best of all worlds. By offering Jim’s services we continue to differentiate ourselves from the “typical” automation supplier. We get it…..and we are here to help.”

John M. Small (President) “we are establishing our company as having significant dedicated resources for all aspects of productivity management and cost reduction efforts for manufacturers. We want to ensure that our customers have every advantage we can bring to make them more profitable…its about so much more than fixed automation….we spend a lot of time analyzing the changing needs of today’s world and it really comes down to being able to recognize, quantify and reduce cost drivers. Jim’s skill will augment our team significantly. I have known and worked with Jim for over 20 years and he has an ability to recognize the needs of the worker, and the employer with a balanced approach that is especially important in today’s environment.
