What does “ergonomic” mean?

Ergonomic research is performed by those who study human capabilities in relationship to their work demands. Information derived from these studies contributes to the design and evaluation of tasks, jobs, products, environments and systems in order to make them compatible with the needs, abilities and limitations of people.

“Lean” is the extension of lean principles to the development and management of products and services. Its central concern, applied in the context of automation, is the elimination of work that adds no value to a product or service. “Green” is the application of using resources efficiently. Its objectives are to reduce the use of hazardous materials, maximize energy efficiency, and promote recyclability or biodegradability of defunct products and factory waste.
